Do Cookie People Make An
Office Run Smoother?
By Perry A~
Every large office needs at least one cookie person, according to
self-proclaimed dessert analyst Perry A~, author of People Are Just
Desserts. They are always on time, abide by the rules, and are quiet and
steady. They act as a security blanket. Always there, they make everyone
feel safe, just because of their presence
Got any cookie people in your office? Look around. Cookie people
definitely make an office run smoother. Cookie People are stable and
dependable. They hold things together like moist cookie dough and will
drop and spread out taking hold and sticking fast.
Having been in multiple office situations, I have made some acute
observations and Cookie People are one of my greatest discoveries. Knowing
which personalities work best in any situation is easy if you know their
dessert stye.
In an office, Cookie People are peace makers and give a message of
stability In the home they hold things together. Life seems to center
around them. They like traditions and staying with the familiar.
Most have hidden surprises not seen by the naked eye. As you get to know
them you will discover all sorts of unsuspected talents. They are content
with who and what they are. They don’t need to show-boat and grab
attention.
Being round, they are open to looking at other perspectives and meet
challenges by looking for another option, but as closely related to their
current path as possible. Being rooted and grounded they are not into
drastic swift change.
Team players, they are liked by everyone and mix and work well with
others. They are absorptive, always seeking new knowledge in their
specialized area of expertise.
Under stress, crispy ones do tend to crumble or break, while softer ones
are quite flexible. Being balanced, however, they usually handle stress
without coming to such a dramatic breaking point.
To best relate to cookie people approach a major change gradually and ease
them into the idea. Assure them of stability and purpose. It won’t work
to force or rush them. They like to check out all the angles before
committing to a change. Give them private time to think and feel secure in
their decision. Pushing them will usually result in a quick
"NO".
Cookie people have a dry wit and those with creamy fillings reserve the
inner rich fun until the exterior work is done. They are also reserved on
first meetings and don’t reveal their inner creamy nature. They honor
themselves with crisp protective boundaries. Most are self disciplined and
stay with their plans.
Iced cookies are attention grabbers and command performers. They go the
extra mile. An outer facade of fun hides their serious dedicated nature.
Fruit filled cookies are stimulators who like to tease and stir things up.
So if you were an office cookie, what kind would you be? Iced, layered,
fruit filled, plain, sugar coated? Cookie People. You'll want more than
one.
